On Friday, November 14, 2025, Dr. Radwan Mohieddine, an ophthalmologist in Nador, is organizing a free retinopathy screening for all diabetic patients. This initiative comes on the occasion of World Diabetes Day, and will take place at his clinic located in Al-Shifaa building, second floor, Abdelkhalek Torres Street, in the center of Nador.

This initiative is part of a national campaign organized by the Moroccan Society of Ophthalmology and the Moroccan Retinopathy Association in collaboration with the National Syndicate of Ophthalmologists. The free examinations are conducted in all ophthalmology clinics in Morocco under the slogan “Visual health is one of our priorities”.

Objective of the initiative

Dr. Mohyeldin explained that the campaign aims to examine the retina of diabetic patients for free. He added that any patient found to have an issue will be referred to a doctor specialized in their condition to complete the necessary tests.

The initiative aims to promote health awareness and prevent vision loss due to neglected diabetic retinopathy, a common complication of diabetes that can lead to vision loss if not detected early.

Radwan Mohieddine is a doctor specializing in ophthalmology in Nador. He owns a private clinic in El Shifaa building, second floor, Abdelkhalek Torres Street, in the center of Nador.
