The Eastern Province will benefit from Operation Care 2025-2026, which runs from November 15, 2025 to March 30, 2026, as part of a seasonal health intervention for populations affected by the cold wave. The list of beneficiaries in the region includes Fakik, Taourirt, Driouch, Oujda Ankad, Jarada, Krissif, and Berkane, as part of a national program that includes 31 provinces distributed across eight regions.

The operation focuses on providing close health services to the population during the period of low temperatures, through primary, curative and preventive care, in addition to health awareness services within health centers. The presence of mobile medical units will also be reinforced at the population gathering points in the concerned regions, and will take care of cases that require specialized medical intervention or referral to referral hospitals.

Operational objectives within the regions of the Eastern Province

The operation aims to ensure the availability of human resources, medical equipment and logistical means within the health centers in the concerned regions, while receiving the 523 beneficiaries, in addition to scheduling 3,528 field visits by mobile medical units, 183 specialized medical convoys, and mini campaigns according to health needs in the regions of the region.

A coordination mechanism between mobile medical units, specialized convoys, field campaigns, and the emergency care system will be put in place to ensure that health interventions are carried out according to the set priorities.

Health Resources and Logistics

2,817 health professionals, including doctors, nurses, pharmacists, technicians and administrators, have been mobilized as part of the health intervention team during the winter period in the regions of the region. The approved medical equipment includes mobile ultrasound machines, mobile laboratory analyzers, dental chairs, refractometers, as well as mobile health units and ambulances to intervene in remote and isolated areas.
