The Administrative Council of the Mellouya Regional Office for Agricultural Investment held its second session for the year 2025 on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development, Water and Forestry in Rabat, under the chairmanship of the Ministry's Secretary General.

Organizational presence
The meeting brought together a wide range of regional and provincial actors. It was attended by the president of the Chamber of Agriculture of the Eastern Province, representatives of the provincial governorate and the provinces of Berkane, Nador and Tawerirt, as well as the representative of the Council of the Eastern Province, the heads of the regional councils of Tawerirt, Nador and Berkane, and the rest of the administrative council members.

2025 Outcome and 2026 Prospects
The proceedings of the session centered around three main themes: Reviewing the financial results of the office's achievements during 2025, presenting the upcoming work program, and discussing the draft budget for 2026. The Regional Office for Agricultural Investment of Mellouya is a public institution that plays a pivotal role in framing and organizing the agricultural sector in the eastern region, in light of increasing challenges related to water challenges and climate change adaptation.
