European delegation visits Nador and Oujda to explore investment opportunities in the East

Economy of the East

On February 10 and 11, the Eastern Province received a delegation of economic and commercial advisors, including representatives of the European Union delegation in Morocco and the embassies of Germany, Spain, France and Italy. This field visit, which took place between Nador and Oujda, was organized by the Regional Investment Center of the Eastern Province, as part of the ongoing European interest in the development dynamics of the region, given its geographical location, which makes it a potential corridor between Europe and Africa.

Four projects at the center of the field tour

During its visit, the European delegation was briefed on four ongoing infrastructure projects in the region: The Marcheca project, the Nador West Mediterranean Pole, which is not yet operational, the City of Professions and Skills, and the Oujda Technopole. The European delegation also had the opportunity to present the industrial and logistics platforms of the region, as well as the incentive and support system available to investors under the new investment charter.

The Regional Investment Center expressed its satisfaction with the quality of the discussions with the delegation, appreciating the interest shown by the European countries represented in the investment opportunities offered by the Eastern Province.
