Mohammed I University Organizes International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Smart Healthcare AISA’25

Mohammed I University in Oujda is preparing to host the Third International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Smart Applications (AISA’25) from December 12 to 14, 2025 in Oujda. Organized by the Higher School of Technology and the MATSI Laboratory, this scientific event focuses on the theme “Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things - IoT, and Cybersecurity for Smart and Safe Healthcare”, aiming to bring together researchers, engineers, and professionals to discuss the latest developments and innovations in this vital field.
Organizational committee and international experts
The conference's honorary committee is chaired by Professor Yassine Zaghloul, President of Mohammed I University in Oujda, and Professor Abdelhafid El Chafi, Director of the Higher School of Technology in Oujda, in recognition of their role in supporting scientific research and encouraging projects related to digital transformation and artificial intelligence in the eastern region. The general conference is chaired by Professors Mahcine Kaddad and Omar Moussaoui from Mohammed I University, who oversee the scientific and organizational aspects to ensure the quality of the program and the diversity of its themes.
The conference will host a group of research professors as invited speakers, including Prof. Larbi Ismahi from Athabasca University in Canada, Prof. Ali Idri from Mohammed V University in Rabat, Prof. Lobna Benabou from the University of Quebec in Rimouski, Canada, Prof. Tarek Al-Nafouri from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology in Saudi Arabia, and Prof. Mustapha Azizi from Mohammed I University in Oujda. Their interventions will address advanced topics in artificial intelligence, smart systems, the Internet of Things, cybersecurity and their applications in health.
Diverse scientific program and opportunities for international publication
The AISA’25 program includes parallel scientific sessions, plenary lectures, and specialized workshops, allowing researchers, doctoral students, and professionals to present their research, exchange experiences, and build new research partnerships. The conference also provides a space for discussion on the challenges of employing AI in health systems, especially with regard to protecting personal data, ensuring the reliability of smart systems, and developing innovative solutions adapted to the specificities of the Moroccan and African contexts.
Part of the conference proceedings are published in Springer's Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems series indexed in Scopus, giving participants an opportunity to publish their research internationally.
