On December 9, 2025, the Ministry of Health announced the organization of a national competition to recruit 800 nurses and health technicians on Sunday, January 18, 2026. According to data released by the ministry, the open positions include eight main specialties, including emergency and resuscitation, anesthesia and resuscitation, midwifery, multiple nursing therapies, laboratory and biological analysis, radiology, medical rehabilitation, in addition to social support. These fields are directly related to the reception and treatment units in public hospitals, especially the emergency and resuscitation departments, which are under constant pressure during different periods of the year.

The announcement comes in the context of strengthening the regional distribution of human resources, as the positions will cover a number of communes and regions, including Rabat, Casablanca, Agadir, Fez, Marrakech, Tetouan, Tangier, and others. The geographical selection is linked to health centers with high population density and those that receive the largest proportions of emergency cases, reflecting a trend to relieve pressure on existing structures and improve the performance of health services for citizens.

According to the official announcement issued by the ministry, candidates who hold a state diploma in nursing or an equivalent diploma must register exclusively through the ministry's online portal before January 5, 2026, in addition to submitting nomination files electronically within the specified deadlines. These conditions refer to the ministry's adoption of a digital path in managing the competitions, in line with the trends of administrative modernization and simplification of procedures for candidates.

The ministry also explained that this operation aims to fill the shortage in public hospitals, especially in emergency departments and social support units, in addition to supporting specialties that are experiencing increasing professional pressure due to the high demand for examination, diagnosis, health accompaniment, and specialized treatment.
