The city of Oujda concluded, on Saturday evening, October 18, 2025, the activities of the International Blouse Festival in its eighth edition, organized by the Oriental Development Association under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, under the slogan: «Blouse and Africa: A tapestry of history». This major cultural event reaffirmed the status of the Orient region as a cultural platform linking Morocco to the African continent and contributing to the strengthening of national identity through cultural heritage and traditional costumes.

The conclusion of the eighth edition culminated in an exceptional fashion show hosted by Cherif Idrissi's closet, where the designs presented a unique combination of the authentic Wajdi character and contemporary African touches. The show was an elegant canvas that reflected the harmony and civilizational intersection between Moroccan and African culture, in a clear message that creativity and beauty are a common language that transcends geographical boundaries.

Designers from Morocco participated in this cultural event along with representatives from nine African countries, as well as French designer Dimitri Botti, who brought an international touch to the International Blouse Festival by presenting a contemporary vision of the traditional Moroccan costume. This international participation gave the event a broader dimension that combines modernity and originality, and reinforces Morocco's position as a cultural bridge between Africa and Europe.

The pieces on display ranged from the Oujda blouse decorated with gold thread, to African designs vibrant with colors and traditional motifs, in a visual spectacle that reflects the rich cultural heritage of the region. These designs reflected the strength of the civilizational ties between the Kingdom of Morocco and the countries of the African continent, and highlighted the importance of preserving and developing cultural identity in line with modern times.

With the culmination of this edition, the International Blouse Festival continues to consolidate its position as one of the most prominent cultural events in the Eastern Province, as it seeks to preserve the Moroccan traditional costume and promote it at the international level. The festival also opens up promising prospects for opening up to African experiences that enrich the artistic and aesthetic landscape of the region, reinforcing Oujda's role as a cultural capital that celebrates diversity and creativity.
