Ali Belhadj assumes the chairmanship of the Moroccan-British Business Council to promote economic partnership

The General Federation of Moroccan Enterprises (FGME) announced a strategic decision to appoint Ali Belhadj as the head of the Moroccan-British Business Council during a board meeting held on September 15. The appointment comes as part of Morocco's efforts to strengthen economic ties with the UK and develop opportunities for trade cooperation between the two countries.
Belhaj is a prominent economic figure with extensive experience in the international business world. He currently heads the family-owned Hippone Holding Group, which focuses its activities on various vital sectors, including logistics, industrial real estate investment, as well as specialized agricultural activities in citrus production, olive cultivation, and aromatic and medicinal plants. Ali Belhaj's career path has been varied and rich. He earned a bachelor's degree in economics and completed his graduate studies with an MBA from the prestigious University of Southern California. He began his career at the Financial Investment Company, where he excelled in corporate restructuring, and then expanded his investments to cover the strategic sectors of real estate development and agricultural production.
In terms of institutional positions, Belhadj has held a number of important leadership positions that have enhanced his administrative and political experience. He served as president of the Orient Region and president of the Regional Investment Fund, as well as vice president of the R20 international network specialized in sustainable development. In addition, he was a member of the Moroccan House of Representatives and president of the local community of Dar Bouazza, as well as a member of the General Federation of Moroccan Enterprises (FGME) as head of the committee in charge of developing ethics and promoting good governance practices in the business world.
