Boluda Towage France and Marsa Maroc partner to manage towage services at Nador Port

Following an international request for proposals launched by Nador West Mediterranean, a consortium comprising Boluda Towage France, part of the Boluda Corporación Marítima Group, a global leader in maritime towage, and Marsa Maroc, has been selected to manage the towage and assistance activities at the port of Nador West Mediterranean. The concession runs for 20 years, starting in the fourth quarter of 2026.
Under this agreement, a joint subsidiary will be created to manage the concession and carry out the associated investments, including the acquisition of a fleet of four tugs with a towing capacity of 80 tons, with an estimated investment of 45 million euros. Boluda Towage France will own 51% of the share capital of this subsidiary, while Marseille Maroc will own 49%.
This partnership provides Marsa Maroc with the opportunity to strengthen and develop its towage business unit, which aims to gain extensive experience in this field in the long term. Marsa Maroc currently offers towage services in seven Moroccan ports, including Nador, Al Hoceima, Mohammedia, Safi, Agadir, Laayoune, and Dakhla.
Boluda Towage France is a subsidiary of the Boluda Corporación Marítima Group, a global leader in maritime services, operating a fleet of more than 400 vessels in around 50 countries and nearly 100 ports around the world.
