A series of consultative meetings with other communities in the Nador region will continue on Monday at 2:00 p.m. The first meeting was held in Zayou with the Pasha of Nador, as part of the preparation of a new generation of integrated development programs. These meetings come in response to the royal directives aimed at achieving spatial and social justice.

The beginning of the consultative process in Zayou

These meetings were preceded by a consultative meeting held at Zayou headquarters on Friday morning, November 7, 2025, chaired by the city's Pasha, along with Ahmed Bazaine, the first vice president of the community. The meeting was attended by the leaders of the first and second administrative districts, deputies and members of the collective council, in addition to the group's staff and employees.

The meeting was a key platform for coordinating the implementation of the royal vision at the local level, with the aim of developing a developmental vision that is in line with national transformations and responds to the aspirations of the city's inhabitants.

Involving local actors in the formulation of programs

In his opening speech, Pasha Zaio stressed that this meeting represents the start of a comprehensive consultative process that aims to involve all local actors in the formulation of future development programs. He stressed that listening to elected officials, civil society and field actors is the key to identifying the city's priorities and mobilizing resources in an effective and balanced manner.

The meeting included constructive interventions and discussions that focused on the importance of adopting a participatory and integrated approach in the preparation of future projects, based on the principles of good governance and strategic planning. The meeting focused on vital sectors including infrastructure, health, education, roads, water and electricity, culture and employment.

The participants expressed their aspirations to improve the quality of life and develop public facilities in the city, emphasizing their willingness to contribute by presenting practical proposals and implementable projects.

The meeting concluded with a call to prepare a comprehensive synthesis report that includes a summary of the ideas and proposals presented, in preparation for submission to the competent authorities. It was also confirmed that sectoral thematic meetings will continue to be held in the coming weeks to follow up on the preparation of programs and identify development priorities in order to strengthen Zayou's position in the overall development of the Nador Region.
