The Moroccan Company for Tourism Engineering (SMIT) has launched a call for expression of interest (AMI) addressed to investors in the tourism activation sector in the Eastern Province, within the framework of the Tourist enterprise It aims to intensify the offer of tourism activities and enhance the attractiveness of Nador and Berkane destinations.
This call seeks to recruit approximately Sixty investors capable of carrying out tourism revitalization projects within the Beach & Sun and Bord de Mer routes, and provides accepted investors with a financial support of up to 30% of investment costand may rise to 50% For projects of an innovative nature, along with integrated technical and formative support.
Eligibility and application requirements
The call is open to individuals and legal entities. Juridical persons are required to have a TPE, PE or ME size business, established in the region, in good legal standing with at least one year of operation. Self-employed persons are required to have professional experience or a certificate in the tourism field.
The selection of projects goes through three stages: Analysis of the files, in-depth profiling through individual interviews, and finally validation by the local selection committee. Only files with a score equal to or higher than 70 out of 100 in the entirety of the assessment.
Timeline and support mechanisms
Registration and filing has been open since February 16, 2026 And even March 30, 2026via the online platform: smit.gov.ma. The subsidies are disbursed in three tranches linked to project completion rates: 30% upon reaching 20% of investment, 30% upon reaching 50%, and the final 40% upon completion of the project and obtaining an exploitation license.
