Maroc Telecom adopts the color red in its new visual identity

Economy of the East

Maroc Telecom has announced a change in its visual identity, adopting the color red instead of blue and orange. The historic operator considers the move “a symbol of boldness, modernity and national belonging,” with the shift to red representing a break with the past.

In a statement, Maroc Telecom explained that this transformation “marks a historic milestone in the life of the group and symbolizes its ambition to embody change in a rapidly transforming digital world.”.

A unified identity and a new symbol

“Blue and orange, symbols of a founding era, now give way to red, the color of renewal and affirmation,” the group noted. Maroc Telecom chose red because it is the color of the national flag, expressing the energy of a moving Morocco and the ambition of a brand reinventing itself.

The new logo retains the distinctive curves that are part of Maroc Telecom's visual identity, while fundamentally transforming them. The curves have become more fluid and organic, expressing the constant movement of data, the circulation of energy and the continuity of communication. The digital dimension has disappeared to give way to a unified and simplified symbol.

The big curve suggests the national network that connects every region, every family and every Moroccan, from Tangier to Kouira, from Oujda to Dakhla. It expresses the movement of information and the bridge between heritage and future. Next to it, a light and dynamic secondary curve acts as a visual touch, signaling the signal that is illuminated and the connection that is formed.

This transformation came in a context of accelerated innovation, driven by the “Digital Morocco 2030” vision, the launch of 5G and Morocco's growing aspirations. Maroc Telecom emphasizes its will to participate in the transformation of the sector.

Yassine Bono as brand ambassador

To embody this transformation, Maroc Telecom has chosen Yassine Bounou as its new brand ambassador. The international goalkeeper embodies “the new spirit of Maroc Telecom: An ambitious brand, proud of its identity, connected to its youth and driven by collective performance.”.

Mohamed Benchaaboun, Director General of Maroc Telecom Group, said: “Changing our visual identity marks a new phase in the history of Maroc Telecom. This new symbol expresses the collective energy of our teams, our will to excel and our commitment to sustainably accompany the Kingdom's digital transformation.” He added that Maroc Telecom continues its mission to connect regions, bring people closer and contribute to the development of a more connected and performing Morocco.
